Are we regressing backwards or progressing forward when we allow men to pay on the first date?
I don't mean just saying yes, I mean deeply accepting within that we deserve this.
I was reading a message in a Facebook group talking to the nuances around men paying for the first date.
I get it, we’ve come this far for equal rights , we have really progressed when it comes to women being more heard in this society. If you still believe otherwise, this article is not for you.
But are we regressing or progressing when deep down , as women, we still do not see how powerful we are. Just being.
Not the work we do.
Not the children we have.
Not the words we speak.
Not the action we take.
Just being.
Are we regressing or progressing when we forget that we are the oracles on the earth plane that hold the portal between the divine and the material, between our fucking legs. A PORTAL!
That’s what it is!
And yet, we as women are still not acknowledging this because we are not acknowledging ourselves and our god damn power!!
The post in question had 100+ comments of women saying ‘are we still expecting men to pay for our dates?’ - sorry, what?
YES QUEEN - he will dote on you, he will worship you, he will provide for you.
Because you DESERVE IT!
If you’re still here, this post is around women empowerment, not so much about whether the men should actually pay. Because you can decide how empowered you really are when you deeply allow a man to pay for your meal. When you acknowledge what that actually means.
Don’t get me started on what’s engrained in our individual DNA and how this power is acknowledged there. Where men feel empowered when they are giving and women feel empowered when they are receiving. If both men & women really learnt their mechanics, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.
Did we really come this far to forget that in ancient civilisations the women were worshipped and acknowledged for their deep intuitive insights, their nurturing spaces, their PORTAL to divine?
Have we really swung the pendulum too far, again?
I don’t normally comment on random posts in a Facebook group, but I had to.
If I could do anything in this moment, it’s remind you of your POWER.
And if we don’t remember, the men aren’t going to either!
This is a mirrored simulation we live in.
I write this with the upmost respect to all women, whatever their beliefs are on this. But I already know, women who swing to the other side, are going to fall victim to my words. Because their wombs are shut and their mouths are speaking direct from the mind.
I want you to know, I acknowledge your process, because I once was you.
I grew up in a strict Italian household that both men and women saw women as inferior. So I am not privy to this nonsense.
I will note though, being Italian came with the perks of watching men pay and provide.
So again, I acknowledge that I may have been privileged in this sense. But I was not privileged in my upbringing at all.
I lost all sense of what a woman was.
Being a strong woman in my household was being emotionally numb.
Being an empowered woman in my household was just ‘ignoring’ what the men said and being quiet.
So I could say, i’ve come pretty far. But I do not fall victim to my reality. I could never.
The difference here is, I came back.
Came back to my knowing.
Came back to my power.
Came back to my essence.
I remembered.
And I cannot wait until we all do.
Because it’s coming.
Yes, the pendulum is swinging right now.
We get to choose.
Us women, as a collective, get to choose which direction we want to go in.
Are we going to remember who the fuck we are?
Or are we going to continue down the path of forgetting?
I know where I stand on it.
Do you?
